A friend asked.
I’ve been on Deca for over a year and a half and I’m still shut down. If I use HCG for a bit, will I see any sign of recovery?
I’m currently cruising on 250mg of Deca.
The moment I heard that, the words “Talking about recovery while on Deca? Let’s first check your estrogen, SHBG, and prolactin levels and then talk” were on the tip of my tongue.
Looking at this friend’s story, it was Testosterone 600mg for 6 months, followed by Deca 600mg for 10 months, and now cruising on Deca 250mg..
This is basically like declaring to your balls, “Your job is done now, so take a good long rest.”
Deca, this guy, its conversion to estrogen might not be that high.
So, some guys who use only Deca can see their estrogen levels plummet to around 10, completely ruining their mood and libido.
It’s the same with SHBG.
Estrogen raises SHBG, and levels that are too low or too high are both problematic.
Prolactin?
Deca is one of the main culprits that also drives up prolactin levels, driving people insane.
First, checking these three through a blood test is the absolute basics.

Getting to the main point, using HCG annually to check what your natural hormone levels are like, and whether you still have the capacity to recover, is a good idea.
If you plan on having kids later, you need to know if your balls can at least respond, right?
There’s a commonly known routine that you can probably use.
It’s doing a short 2-week HCG blast, similar to how you’d start PCT.
HCG is similar to LH (Luteinizing Hormone), so it sends a signal to your balls to stimulate them and get them to start working.
However, it can’t perform the role of FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone).
To fully restore sperm production, you’d need things like Clomid, Nolvadex, or HMG, but first, you just check if your balls respond to HCG alone.
The most important point when using HCG is that you must stop all other hormones.
If external hormones remain in your body, they continuously send negative feedback to the HPTA, telling it to shut up.
But this Deca guy, its metabolites stay in the body for a very long time, suppressing the HPTA.
Nandrolone can be detected for up to 18 months; it might metabolize in a month, but those remnants can linger in your body for over a year, turning off the recovery switch.
This is exactly why most people can’t recover properly even after PCT following a nandrolone cycle and end up struggling.
Even if you send a signal to the LH receptors to produce testosterone, the Deca metabolite guys interfere, saying there’s already enough, so no need to make more.
Which signal do you think will be stronger?
The fact that you’ve never seen anyone properly recover after using nandrolone says it all.
So, to properly test the state of your balls, you must follow a protocol like the one below.
Deca Cleanout
First, stop the Deca.
You need to use only Testosterone for at least a year to completely flush out all the nandrolone remnants from your body.
Cruise on Testosterone, or do Testosterone-Primobolan, or Testosterone-only cycles.
Complete Cessation
If you’re ready for the HCG blast, now stop the Testosterone you’re using as well.
It takes about 4 weeks for all hormone levels to hit rock bottom.
Nothing that can suppress the HPTA should remain in your system.
This period, I guarantee, will be fucking tough.
Lethargy, decreased libido, loss of sex drive, zero motivation… It just feels like you’ve lost your masculinity.
That’s exactly what being completely natural, with nothing, feels like.
Start HCG
Now it’s time to administer HCG.
Since your cycle was quite long, you should probably take at least 1,000 IU every other day.
If you want to be more certain, you could consider up to 2,000 IU.
Run it for exactly 2 weeks only.
After two or three HCG shots, you might start to feel like something is coming back.
Blood Test and Result Analysis
Right after the 2-week HCG course ends, get your blood drawn to check your hormone levels.
LH
Since HCG is acting in place of LH, it’s likely to be low.
FSH
It might have gone up, or it might not. It varies greatly from person to person.
Estrogen & SHBG
They should be somewhere in the middle of the normal range.
Total Testosterone
This is the key.
Since all external hormones have been removed from your system, the Testosterone level here is purely the amount your balls produced in response to HCG stimulation.
If your Total Testosterone comes out at 600 ng/dL or higher?
Congratulations, there’s still hope.
This level means you’ve essentially taken out an insurance policy that there’s a possibility of recovery when you do a real PCT later.
But if the numbers come out like 100 ng/dL, or 300 ng/dL, 400 ng/dL or something like that?
It might be difficult to salvage with HCG alone.
If your Testosterone levels are disappointing, it’s possible the HCG dose was insufficient, or your balls have been asleep for too long.
Or maybe the HCG wasn’t potent enough; even if you used pharmaceutical-grade HCG and the response was lackluster, then you might need to consider SERMs like Clomid or Nolvadex,
or something like HMG for direct FSH stimulation.
Stop the HCG, wait about a week, and then try waking up the HPTA again with these guys.

If there’s still no improvement?
Unfortunately, you might need to be on TRT for life.
At that point, TRT means real therapeutic Testosterone; don’t mistakenly think that using Deca or Primobolan mixed in is TRT.
That’s just an extension of drug addiction.
If your body can’t produce androgens naturally and you need to supply them externally, that’s real TRT.
Anyway, if you can’t recover even with Clomid or HMG, you are a candidate for TRT.
At that point, see a doctor, get a formal prescription, and manage it legally.
To give an example of one bodybuilder’s case, he didn’t inject anything for 3.5 weeks, then for 2.5 weeks he took HCG 2,000 IU every other day – a pretty high dose, but his cycle was no joke either, and he had been blasting and cruising for quite a long time.
Doing that, his Testosterone levels came out between 700 ng/dL and 760 ng/dL, estrogen between 27-30, and SHBG was also in the mid-range.
This level means he has taken out a solid insurance policy that he can successfully recover when he does a proper PCT later.
So, an HCG blast is like first aid to check if balls that have been battered by powerful compounds like Deca for a long time are still breathing.
But remember this.
This is just a test and an insurance policy, not a cure-all.
The problem with nandrolone, in particular, is that it can haunt you for much longer than you think.
If you follow this recklessly, your entire life could end up shut down, so always proceed based on data and in consultation with experts.
The moment you mess with drugs based on gut feeling, that’s when you buy a ticket on the express train to hell.
